Effective defence against humans and animals

The OC irritant (pepper or paprika concentrate, Oleoresin Capsicum) used by Ballistol is food-grade. It can therefore be used to season a good goulash. As a result, it does not cause permanent damage to the eyes or respiratory system. Nevertheless, it does have a convincing effect on safety due to bronchial irritation, coughing and watery eyes.

Safety advice
Danger : If medical advice is required, keep the packaging or label to hand. The container is under pressure: may burst if heated. In case of persistent eye irritation: seek medical advice. Causes severe eye irritation. Keep out of reach of children. Do not recycle contents/container unless completely empty. IF INHALED: Remove to fresh air and allow person to breathe freely. Avoid breathing dust / fumes / gases / mists / vapours / aerosols. Protect from sunlight and do not expose to temperatures above 50°C/122°F. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. IF ON SKIN (or hair): Immediately remove all contaminated clothing. Wash skin with water/shower. May cause respiratory tract irritation. In case of irritation or skin rash: seek medical advice/consult a doctor. Do not pierce or burn, even after use. Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, naked flames and all other sources of ignition. Do not smoke. Contains 0.9% capsaicin. May cause allergic reactions. Use only outdoors or in well-ventilated areas. Do not spray towards an open flame or other source of ignition. Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye/face protection.
